Little Fork Episcopal Church Pop-Up Choir

Everyone who has ever considered singing in a choir, or who misses singing in a choir, is invited to join us in making music this Advent and Christmas season. Unlike many choirs, we are not asking people to make a long term commitment. In fact, this Pop-Up Choir has a firm ending date of Christmas Eve.

This intergenerational choir is for all people 5th grade and up, and those well into adulthood, who enjoy music as a way to connect with God and each other. Recordings and sheet music will be available via Little Fork Church’s website in advance of the first rehearsal.

If you have children under 5th grade or you are an adult who doesn’t sing, you are invited to join Rev. Stacy for an intergenerational Sunday School, which will take place during choir rehearsal. Each Sunday of Advent, from 9:00 - 9:45 on the upper level of the Parish Hall, we will explore how the different Gospels tell the Christmas story and make Christmas presents for people we love.

Little Fork’s Pop-Up Choir will be directed by Little Fork Church’s Music Director, Ben Grove. Ben is a pianist, educator, and composer, and is the 3rd-8th grade music teacher at Highland School in Warrenton. Ben frequently works as an accompanist for musicals and ensembles. As a pianist, he is in demand as a performer in jazz combos and big bands. As a composer, Ben is always looking to create new palettes of sounds to work with. Most importantly, Ben is a natural teacher who loves to share the love of music with people of all ages.
