Prayers of the People April 24, 2022

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.

Let us response each of the prayers of the people with, ā€œAlleluia! Alleluia!ā€

Heavenly King, for us you endured the cross and the grave, but then you rose triumphantly from the grave. When we were yet sinners, you redeemed and saved us. In the future, you will raise us to eternal life.

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Incarnate Love, where hearts are weary, grieving, or in pain, call forth new life by your touch. Bring forth life in the barren places of this world, especially Ukraine and Afghanistan.

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Author of Life, you are the ruler of creation. All things created on earth sing to your glory. From the death of the winter, raise the fair beauty of earth.

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Living Savior, you hold the future. You bless and restore our families, our communities, our world with babies and children. Though they face uncertain days, they also share in your promises of hope, peace and victory. We entrust them to the certainty of your endless and eternal love.

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Jesus the health of the world, pour out your healing power on the spirits, minds and bodies of all who are in pain or sorrow, especially those on our church prayer list (Read the first names of those on church prayer list) and those whom you wish to name at this time

You are invited to share your petitions and thanksgivings

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Lord of mercy, we thank you enabling us to stand in the righteousness of your son, Jesus Christ, at the glorious resurrection of all your children. By your victory, bring us from death to life eternal.

To you we offer praise eternal; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Jesus, Risen Lord, open to us the gate of glory.

Holy God, you demonstrated your love for us through the Resurrection of your Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. We commit to making decisions regarding the future of our congregation and church grounds as who trust in your ever-present love and grace. Guide us in becoming a congregation that welcomes all, values mutuality in our outreach and partnerships, and honors the past while focusing on the future. Provide us courage and insight as we seek to make Little Fork a place where the larger Rixeyville community finds respite, a place to sooth their souls, and a connect to Your creation. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
