Prayers of the People July 10, 2022
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
O Lord, as you gave us the greatest commandment, to love you with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, help us to love you above all else, putting you above the potential idols in our lives, including success, fame and wealth.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
Our gracious God, as members of Little Fork Episcopal Church, we ask you to guide us as we seek to love our neighbors. Through Feed My Sheep, our Little Fork families are truly being the hands and feet of Christ to needy people in our surrounding communities. We ask that those who receive our help will give you the glory.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We pray for all who serve in the Church, especially our Diocesan Bishops, Susan and Jennifer, our Bishop Elect, Mark, our Rector, Stacy, as well as all bishops, priests, and deacons; that the Holy Spirit would guide them as they preach, teach and counsel.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
For those in authority, including Joe, our President, and Glenn, our Governor, lead them into the ways of justice, peace and truth.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We pray for the peoples of Ukraine and Afghanistan who are suffering the ravages of war—hunger, cold, grief and displacement. We thank you for all who are sacrificing their time and resources to meet their needs. Bring war and terror to an end.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We trust you for protection, healing and comfort for those who are suffering from illness, violence and persecution, especially (please read the first names of those on our prayer list) and those we now name.
Please add the names of others in need of protection, comfort or healing.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, you have promised an eternal home to those who trust in you. We bring before you those who are now enjoying your presence, especially (please read the first names of those on our prayer list, if any) and those we now name.
Please add the names of those who have died or are grieving.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
At this time, please offer your petitions and thanksgivings, as we stand before God’s throne of grace.
Please add your prayers and thanksgivings.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord
Lord Jesus, you have sent your Holy Spirit to teach us and to bring to remembrance all you have done in the power of God. Be known to us, as you have promised. Hear our prayers, grant us your peace and love, and give us those things which we need in this life.
For his will to be done, hear our prayer.
