Prayers of the People July 28, 2024
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
The congregational response is, “Lord, have mercy.”
Lord Jesus, we praise you for your power over the forces of nature. We thank you for calming the disciples’ fears, and bringing them to their desired haven. Help us come to you with all our fears.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
We trust you to further the mission of the Little Fork Church, as well as that of other area churches, that we may be a beacon of light in our communities. Help us faithfully represent Christ, by our lives and our words.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
Lord, we thank you for the investment of time and resources by those who renovated our Parish Hall—replacing the ceiling and installing acoustical panels. May they experience your reward.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
We trust you to encourage our members, as they serve through their professions, in counseling, medicine, welfare, government, law enforcement, emergency services, education, business and the trades. May their words and actions shine the light of Christ in their spheres of influence.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
We pray for our President, for the leaders of the nations, and for all in authority, that they may govern with justice and concern for the disadvantaged.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
We pray for the people of Ukraine, Israel, Palestine and Sudan, who are suffering the ravages of war. We thank you for all who are sacrificing their time and resources to meet their needs. Bring war and hardship to an end.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
We entrust to you the aged and infirm, the widowed and orphans, the sick and the suffering, especially, (please read the names of those on our prayer list). Please share the names of others in need of comfort or healing.
Please share the names of others in need.
Lord, you accept all who have trusted in you for their salvation. We thank you for the example of our friends and loved ones who have preceded us (please read the first names of any on our prayer list).
Please share the names of any who have died recently.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
Lord, at this time, we bring to you petitions for our own needs and those of others, as well as thanksgivings for the many favors you have shown us.
Please share your own petitions and thanksgivings.
We give you thanks for all you have done, and will do.
Let us pray: Lord, have mercy.
