Prayers of the People July 30, 2023

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.

The congregational response is, “O God, hear our prayer.”

We thank you that all things work together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose.Help us grow in our love for you.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

King of Kings, as citizens of your kingdom, make us aware of the valuable privileges we enjoy, and use us as instruments in the miraculous growth of your kingdom.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

May we be effective witnesses in our neighborhoods, through living Christ-like lives, meeting needs, and sharing a word in season.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

We pray for all who serve in the Church, especially our Diocesan Bishop, Mark, our Assistant Bishop, Gayle, our Visiting Bishops, Ted and Dabney, our Rector, Stacy, and our supply priests, Amanda, Jenks and Kyle, as well as all bishops, priests, and deacons, that the Holy Spirit would guide them as they preach, teach and counsel.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

Christ the Lord of Lords, we pray for our governmental leaders, especially our President, Joe, and Governor, Glenn, as well as those at our county and community levels. Give them wisdom as they face the challenges of leadership.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

We pray for those in need of protection, comfort or healing, in particular (Please read the first names of those on our church prayer list). Please add the first names of others in need of protection, comfort or healing.

You are invited to add the names of others in need.

That they may experience your protection, comfort and healing, and may those who care for them be encouraged and strengthened.
We pray, O God, hear our prayer.

We pray for all who have entered into your presence and are enjoying your everlasting care, especially (Please read the first names of those on our church prayer list, if any).Please add the first names of others who have died recently.

You are invited to add the names of others who have died recently.

May we follow the example of their faith, and may their loved ones experience your comfort.
