Prayers of the People November 13, 2022

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
Lord, we praise you that you are sovereign over history and the future. Help us be prepared for your coming again. We look forward to the New Earth and the New Heaven.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
Help us set our hearts on that which is eternal, rather than temporal. Guard us from putting our trust in wealth, career or position.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We pray for all those believers around the world who suffer persecution for their faith. Give them perseverance and steadfastness as they look forward to their reward in Heaven.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We pray for our Archbishop, Justin, our Presiding Bishop, Michael, our Diocesan Bishop, Susan, our Rector, Stacy, as well as all bishops, priests, and deacons; that they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We give thanks for those who have protected us, who have shielded us from harm or evil, who have enriched our lives by their service. We pray for the police, past and present, for EMT and the fire service, for physicians, and for other health workers.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We pray for our relationship with other congregations, especially Beulah Baptist Church, that it may help to heal wounds caused by racial injustice and serve to deepen the bonds between our two congregations, as we serve our communities together.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We pray for our communities of Culpeper, Warrenton and Amissville. O Lord. May we be known as a generous people—doing to our neighbors as we would have them do to us.
We offer our prayers; our hope is set on you, O Christ.
We pray for all who are sick or in trouble. For all who are finding their lives restricted through illness.
