Prayers of the People November 20, 2022

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
Christ the King, we praise you for being not only the King of Jews but the King of Kings. We bow before you because you are worthy of our worship. Help us always to give you honor and praise.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ our King, you have rescued us from the power of darkness and have transferred us into your Kingdom. Make us strong with all the strength that comes from your glorious power.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ our Shepherd, you value good shepherds who feed and protect their sheep. We thank you for those who shepherd the flock of Little Fork Church, especially our Rector, Stacy, and our supply priests, Amanda and Jenks. Give them wisdom as they study, preach and counsel. May they faithfully communicate your Word and administer the sacraments.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ the Living Word, feed us with your life-giving Scriptures. Help us be doers of the Word and not hearers only. Guide our men’s group, St. Brigid’s Brigade, as they seek to understand the Scriptures and apply them to their lives.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ the Victor, we lift to you those who have been killed, injured, or traumatized because of human violence, especially those in Ukraine and Afghanistan. Wipe away every tear from their eyes. We pray for an end to the violence and for an enduring peace.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ the Lord of Lords, we pray for our governmental leaders, especially our President, Joe, and Governor, Ralph, as well as those at our county and community levels; that they would do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with their God.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ, the Prince of Peace, our country has had more than enough of violence and bloodshed. We pray that you would convict the hearts of those who are contemplating violence in our schools or toward public figures. We pray for peace and safety in our country.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
Christ the Man of Sorrows, have compassion on those who suffer from any grief, trouble or illness, especially (please read the first names of those on our church prayer list). Please name others who are in need of comfort or healing.

For all those who suffer, that being freed from anxiety, they may live in joy, peace, and health.
Lord, we call to you; hear us and answer us.
