Prayers of the People November 24, 2024

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.

Please respond to the prayers with “and graciously hear us.”

Christ the King, we exalt you this morning, thanking you coming to earth and testifying to the truth. May we give you the honor and worship you deserve, by listening to you and obeying your Word.
Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

Lord, help us to see you in those whom society considers the lowest. Guide us as we invest our resources of time, talent and money in meeting their needs. May those who receive food through Feed My Sheep glorify you for your provision.
Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

We thank you for our Rector, Stacy, our Diocesan Bishop, Stevenson, and our Assistant Bishop, Harris. Fill them with your Spirit and guide them as they lead, counsel, study and preach.
Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

We thank you for our Preservation Committee and the work they do to maintain our historic church and help carry out our Master Plan. Give them wisdom and direction as they serve.
Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

We pray for all who are in sickness or trouble, for all who are displaced or injured in war, especially in the Middle East and Ukraine. We pray for comfort and healing for those for whom prayer has been requested (Please read the first names of those on our church prayer list). Please add the names of others in need of comfort or healing.

You may share names of those in need.

May they be comforted and healed, and may those who care for them be strengthened and encouraged.
Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

We entrust to you all who have died in the faith, especially (Please read the first names of those on our church prayer list.) Please add the names of others who have passed away recently.

You may add the names of others who have died recently.

Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.

God Who Listens, we entrust our thanksgivings and petitions into your gracious hands. At this time, please add your own thanksgivings or petitions, in full confidence that the Lord hears and answers.

Lord, have mercy and graciously hear us.
