Prayers of the People November 27, 2022
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
Please join in the Prayers of the People and this week’s congregational response is Pray to the Lord
Let us call upon the Lord, whose help is near, whose kindness is great. For the welfare of the holy churches of God and for the unity of the human family. We remember all those serving in ministry including our Bishop Susan, Visiting Bishop Ted, Bishop Elect Mark, and Rector, Stacy.
Let us pray to the Lord
For the elimination of disease and famine, and for peace throughout the world. Make us mindful of the needs of others and share our bounty through the ministry of Feed My Sheep.
Let us pray to the Lord
For wisdom and zeal in the Lord’s service, and for perseverance in doing good.
At this time please offer any special thanksgivings
Let us pray to the Lord
For all that is good and profitable to our salvation, and for our welcome to the divine wedding feast. Keep our hearts and minds focused on the celebration of Christ’s birthday as we walk through this Advent season.
Let us pray to the Lord
Lord, be with all who watch and wait by the side of someone they love. We pray for all who are alone, fearful, anxious, or sick. We remember before You those on our prayer list (offer first names of those who are sick)
At this time please share aloud the names of those who are ill or in need of comfort.
Let us pray to the Lord
For the resurrection of those who have died, especially (offer first names of those on our prayer list who have died or are grieving) and for life everlasting with all the saints,
At this time please share aloud the names of those who have died or are grieving
Let us pray to the Lord
