Prayers of the People September 22, 2024
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
The congregational response is “Hear our prayer.”
Our Savior, help us grow in humility, resisting the tendency toward arrogance. As you instructed us, give us the willingness to be servants of all, instead of desiring to be “first.”
Holy and Strong One, hear our prayer.
Heavenly Father, we pray for the children of our congregation. May they grow to love you above all else, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and develop godly convictions. May we love and value all children as Jesus did.
Holy and Strong One, hear our prayer.
Good Shepherd, we pray for our spiritual shepherds, especially our Visiting Bishops, James and Ted, and our supply priest, Jenks, that they may be faithful ministers of your word and sacraments.
Holy and Strong One, hear our prayer.
Head of the Church, we thank you for those who serve our congregation--our Vestry members and worship coordinators. Reward them with a sense of satisfaction as they invest their time in the life of Little Fork Church.

Gracious Lord, make us a generous and hospitable people. We pray for the poor, the homeless, and all who are disadvantaged, in our counties of Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock. Give us wisdom as we seek ways to help meet their needs. Use our gifts through Feed My sheep to spread your love to the needy.
Holy and Strong One, hear our prayer.
