By-Laws Discussion

The By-laws of Little Fork Church have not been updated since 2001, and need to be brought into alignment with changes to Dioceses and Episcopal Church Canons and changes to the relationship of the Vestry and Preservation Foundation. Yet, because the pandemic prevented us from having our congregational meeting in person at the beginning of of 2021, the By-Law committee recommended that the congregational discussion about a new set of By-Laws be postponed until we can have an in person Congregational meeting.

On September 19th, we will be having a congregational meeting which people can attend in person or via Zoom. One of the main objectives of that meeting is to pass a new set of by-laws. During the meeting, the three options the congregation will have regarding the new by-laws will be: approve, approve with slight amendments, or request more revisions before the 2022 Annual meeting.

The By-laws committee has developed the by-laws (link below) and is inviting anyone who would like to discuss them in detail to attend the meeting on Wednesday, September 8th at 7:00 pm via Zoom (link below).

After that meeting, any changes or updates will be made and the final version to be voted on at the meeting will be published to the congregation via the eNews on Sunday, September 12 and Thursday September 16.
