Feed My Sheep - A Little Fork Ministry

If you are new to our website or church, here’s an overview of our mission outreach through Feed My Sheep. FMS is a non-profit organization housed at Bealeton Baptist Church, but supported by several churches including Little Fork. Their ‘niche’ is helping families who don’t have transportation to get to the larger food banks in Culpeper and Fauquier counties. FMS serves 24 families in each county, a total of 48 families on a 3 week rotation. Each time food is packed the families received shelf-stable items that will last throughout the three weeks, as well as bread and meat (when available).
Little Fork Church families support this ministry by ‘adopting’ a food that they bring to church each month. Folks from Little Fork take the food items to FMS and help pack the pantry bags and restock the pantry shelves with the church donations. If you haven’t currently ‘adopted’ a food, FMS always needs canned tuna and 15 oz jars of peanut butter. These shelf-stable proteins help the families throughout the entire month.
