Little Fork Church Cash Flow - Ways You Can Contribute
We as a church have made a commitment to put Little Fork Church on the map, to answer the often-heard comment “I didn’t know that was there”. We have already made great progress with that goal in the first half of 2023. While we are excited about the seeds of growth we are experiencing, the reality is that our cash flow is incredibly tight and we will not be able to continue our efforts towards growth and cover our standard expenses without the support of everyone. We are extremely grateful for your continuous support of Little Fork Church through your generous contributions.
There was an impressive turnout for the Pentecost Concert with 40 people attending and only 12 of them being members. Thank you to Ben Grove, our very talented music director and to all of the musicians that made it a wonderful experience.
Our attendance at the first Pride Festival in Culpeper had a moving impact on both the attendees of the festival and our church volunteers who participated. It is estimated that 1500 people attended the event, Little Fork volunteers personally greeted 500 people, they had personal 5-minute conversations with 100 of those people and in-depth conversations took place with 50 people. We feel we will see several of these families at a Little Fork event in the not-so-distant future. What a blessing to be a part of such a monumental day filled with grace.
Upcoming in the second half of 2023, we are finalizing our plans for the June 25th concert featuring Bryan Jacobs & Remington Steel Acoustic Blues and the August 26 concert featuring The Silver Tones Swing Band. We will conclude our 2023 concerts with our Thanksgiving concert in November. We hope you will invite everyone you know to join us.
Little Fork is currently experiencing a tight cash flow for operating expenses and facilities maintenance that must be completed, which includes replacing the hot water heater in the Parish Hall. In the spirit of transparency, we are including an overview of the operating account balance as well as the current expenses in the eNews for the foreseeable future.
It is with all of that in mind that we would ask that you please consider one or more of the following options if possible. We understand that for some these options are not a possibility and we would like to extend our thanks for all of the support you have already given to Little Fork. If you would like to help with the current cash flow shortages here are some ways you may do so:
- If you would like you can make a pledge to Little Fork for 2023, just ask for a pledge card from the Parish Administrator or you may do so online. Pledge to Little Fork Church
- You can make a designated donation to the music program to offset the cost of the concerts and the advertising or to the facilities fund to offset the replacement of the hot water heater.
- If possible you could increase your weekly contribution because traditionally summer is the lowest cash flow time for the church.
- You can help to offset expenses with an in-kind donation of services or needed supplies.
- If you are a pledging member you could catch up on your 2023 pledge if you are behind, or prepay all or part of your 2023 pledge, or if you would like you can increase your pledge by requesting a new pledge card from the Parish Administrator and indicating the new total amount you would like to pledge.
Thank you for your continuing support of Little Fork, as we move into summer, and people begin to travel we would like to remind everyone that you can make your pledge donations several ways (listed below) and it is very helpful to the church to continue to be able to plan on a regular income throughout these months.
If you have specific questions about how the church is spending their money please reach out to either myself, Renae or Rev. Stacy.
Thank you,
Dave Jones
