Prayers of the People April 7, 2024

These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week

The congregational response is, “You are our hope and our strength.”

Father, we thank you that we have fellowship with you and with your Son Jesus Christ. Deepen our fellowship as a congregation. Increase our love for one another; may we love each other as you love us. As David said, it is good when believers live together in unity.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

Jesus, we thank you for the peace you brought to the fearful disciple after your resurrection. We claim your peace when we are afraid, pressured or anxious. Increase our faith; help us learn to believe without seeing.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

We give thanks for the legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the anniversary of whose death we celebrate on Tuesday. May we follow his example of courage in the face of opposition and persecution.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

We pray for those who shepherd the flock of Little Fork Church, especially our Rector, Stacy, our ministry intern, Becki, and our supply priest, Jenks. Give them wisdom as they serve and guide our congregation into the future.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

Lord, we thank you for those who enrich our worship through their talents and service: for Ben who inspires us with his music, for the worship coordinators who prepare and plan, and for all who fulfil roles in the weekly service.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

Lord, we pray for all who are seeking you and inquiring about their faith, especially our local Muslim community, as they conclude the fasting month of Ramadan. May they all come to understand the love of God and the atoning sacrifice of Jesus for them.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.

Lord God, giver of all good gifts, we thank you for all that satisfies and sustains us. Help us continue to grow in generosity, both as a congregation through Feed My Sheep, and as individuals as we meet the needs of those less fortunate. Make us a gracious and generous people.
Lord, our God, you are our hope and our strength.
