These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
Please join the prayers of the people. This morning’s response is, “Lord, graciously hear us.”
Lord, we thank you for the Living Water you promise to those who believe. May the Holy Spirit flow like rivers of refreshing water from our innermost being.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Lord, preserve us from murmuring and complaining, as did the Israelites in the desert. Remind us to be thankful for your provision, in times of want and times of plenty. Remind us also that you are our Rock. and are continually present with us.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for our Mark our Diocesan Bishop, for Gayle Assisting Bishop, Ted and Dabney our Visiting Bishops, Stacy our Rector, Jenks and Amanda our supply priests, as well as all bishops, priests, and deacons; that they may be faithful ministers of your Word and Sacraments.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for our President Joe, and Governor Glenn, and for all who govern and hold authority in this and the other nations of the world; that there may be justice and peace on the earth.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Lord, guide us in our outreach to the disadvantaged, especially through Feed My Sheep. Give us an awareness of the needs in our communities. Direct us in the ways you want us to invest our resources of time, talent and money.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief, trouble or illness, especially (please read the first names of those on our church prayer list). Please name others who are in need of comfort or healing.
The congregation may share the names of others in need.
May they be delivered from their distress.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We praise you for your saints who have entered into their joy, especially (please read the first names of those on our church prayer list). Please name others who have departed this life.
The congregation may share the names of others who have died recently.
Give to the departed eternal rest; let light perpetual shine on them; and may we also come to share in your heavenly kingdom.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Let us pray for our own needs and those of others.
The congregation may add their own petitions.
Thank you that you hear our prayers from your throne of grace.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake; that our works may find favor in your sight.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
